Below are the times when you should immediately go to the ER.
- Epileptic seizures – Call 911. Do not try to drive him/her to the hospital in your own car.
- A head injury that causes unconsciousness (injuries not causing unconsciousness can be discussed by phone if necessary)
- Cuts that require suturing at night or on weekends
- Suspected fractures
- Severe abdominal pain
- Severe breathing difficulty
- Not interacting or responding
